Yeah. just a small small preview of an image I'm working on. Cars are not very fun to doodle, but I think I'm getting the hang of it.

Here's the test I did for the company in the states. I'm pretty happy with myself after 2 years without animating anything! There's a few faults (hand pops a bit, her head turns too much, floaty sword), but the test is done and in good time, and they seem to like me over there.
Chance's best friend and crime fighting partner, Jacen Argonaut. This is him in his hero get up, when he is better know as Kid Green. Chance is bumded that his super hero name is cooler than hers. totally.
The following's an email portfolio (with links out to pages full of game related and illustration work) that has been kicking me in the nuts for the last two weeks. Finally got to send it this morning, and an hour later had an animation test sent to me!!
If I get contract pixel animation work I'll visit you all, mwuah!
here are some images regarding my new jobs, one is a flower drawn for the Natural history Museum and the others were done during my starbucks training seminar. The flower is not yet complete, but the assignment is pretty interesting in which I am to render a flower thats a few million years old that is now stuck in amber, the downside is that the photos suck.
This is how I warm up before colouring something or attempting a design. Just slapping down colours and shapes until I get a taste for a certain colour combo. If you've read George Orwell's essay on writing, well, you feel me homeslice.
washu from tenchi muyo commission! i didnt know people still love this show, haha thats cool. i liked it in like 98. hmmm i wonder if i rewatched it now, with my animation snobby-ness if i'd still like it!
So two or three days ago, I asked a close friend of mine, "what else do you think I should add to my portfolio?". He answered, "heads". So I did about 20 different heads that night and the next day I cleaned them up in Photoshop. Then I asked, "what now?" And he said, "no! do the heads like THIS! (directs me to joshclub's site) and do lots of characters." So I said ok, and did 7 more heads and...I think 15 character designs. And now, I'm just sitting here with a headache (no pun intended...well. Yeah, sort of intended. OK FINE! It was all setup!! But the story is TRUTH!)
i was just drawing some shapes and seeing if i could turn them into faces. One of these days, i'll finally get some color posted up in here. i've been friggin swamped.
I realized my treegirl painting had the exact same palette as my Batgrrl, neither of which I planned out beforehand. So I started a random thing on purpose with a set palette. Of course when I'm done, chances are, it'll end up purple and yellow too. har.
