Wow. It's been a little over a year since Ed and I started up Checkered Penguin. Happy one year anniversary! So for those of you who've been coming onto this site wondering what happened to us all, here's somewhat of an update.

As far as I'm concerned, a lot of us have been really busy with a lot of things.

Kevin- Recently completed his site/blog along with a truck load of new art.


Ed Tadem- Aside from sleeping a lot, he's been working on a bunch of projects and he's recently just found a new apartment (congrats)

Py- She's always doing commissions. More than ever, now!

Teben- Got a new job doing caricature work! (congrats) Also, Py and Teben moved into a new place recently.

Myself- I've been doing contract work since late September. Reworking my site and adding a blog, too.


Bob- He's always been busy. Poor guy. :-(

Not sure what's been going on with everyone else, but thanks Danny for posting every so often! A lot of us have also been contributing to http://www.bugglefug.com/dailyscribble. Hopefully some of us will find some time to get back on track and resuscitate the poor Checkered Penguin

I started this project where I'm going to draw art in these little squares
and eventually it'll make this big grid of art. It'll keep me makin stuff, hopefully!
Anyway, this was part of that project but I kept a bigger version cause I was pretty happy with it. Suh-weet!

-everyting to make the sanbijj cept the delicious bell peppers that provide its signature taste.

-a possible touch of parmesan cheese.

-60 second instant rice prefered flavor of course.


make sandbijj, heat rice, place in plate all fancy and shit.

Just wanted to take a break from everything and try out some stuff I read from off a tutorial. Started off black and white and then added different types of layers of color.

i love the star wars cook book. i totally made HAN-burgers, cute isnt it. but i added my own style to it!

food time:

what you'll need:
1 lbs of hamburger meat - makes about 4 patties
minced garlic
soy sauce
garlic salt
season all
tomato
ricotta cheese or alouette cheese
A1 Steaksauce

take
1 lbs of hamburger meat
3 tbl spoons of minced garlic
2 tbl spoons of soy sauce
a dash of garlic salt
a dash of season all
and about 1/3 cup of A1
and mix WITH YOUR HAAANDS!

layout a bottom patty with a gap for filling.harhar

fill gap with a slice of tomato
1 tbl spoon of ricotta or alouette cheese

make a seprate patty to lay on top. pinch closed and broil till cooked to prefrance OR PERFECTION!
oh and enjoy!

My SANDBIJJ had no lettuce, onions, and I used a regular plain bagel. oh, and no cheese, because I'm lactose intolerant sometimes. But my goodness. Oh! And food posts are only for emergencies. And yes. This was an emergency.
